CCO Mission

We focus on bringing people to a wholistic discipleship to Jesus. Our relationship to God in worship, our personal growth in and through community, and our external response in serving others.

CCO Mission Overview

Up Reach | In Reach | Out Reach
Part 1: Up Reach
We express a lifestyle of worship to Jesus.

Worship is about worth. What or who is most valuable to you? At Calvary Chapel, it’s not just our gatherings on Sundays that express what and whom we value. The attitude of our hearts and the posture of our entire lives are to be an expression of trust, love, and worship – reaching up – to Jesus!

That is, we hold all that we have with open hands, as we lift up our time, our talents, and our treasure to Him. We use everything He’s given us to honor Christ and point others to Him. It’s the way we express our love and gratitude to God for His immeasurable grace toward us.

Matthew 5:14-16; 28:18-20; Mark 12:29-31; Luke 10:38-42; Romans 15:5-6; 1 Corinthians 6:20
Part 2: In Reach
We are equipped in the Word to serve Jesus.

As the family of God, we are growing up together – in maturity, unity, and love. As we study, obey, and proclaim His Word, the Lord changes our hearts and transforms our lives.

This is why so much of God’s Word uses “one another” language. We love and serve one another, pray for and comfort one another. We also confess to and forgive one another. This ministry to one another helps us become more like Jesus and be more effective in serving Him.

As the body of Christ, we are also the visible representation of Jesus in this world. This means that we have the privilege of being used by God to help others discover how they, too, can be forgiven for their sin, enter into an eternal relationship with Him, and discover their spiritual gifts and life purpose.

Matthew 5-7; 28:18-20; Acts 2:42-47; Ephesians 4:11-24; Romans 12; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Colossians 1:28; 2:6-8
Part 3: Out Reach
We engage our culture to be a witness for Jesus.

We believe that we are here to engage our culture and to change our world. Thus, we prayerfully look for ways to love our community and proclaim Christ’s message of hope and salvation to every people group.

This outreach starts in our own homes, but also ripples into other spheres of influence, such as our neighborhoods, school campuses, places of employment, and even the ends of the earth.

Acts 1:8; Acts 10:34-48; Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 1:7-20; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20
