"We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which He has prepared beforehand, that we might walk in them." – Ephesians 2:10

SErving In The Church

Scripture teaches us that we are all part of the Body of Christ and ought to serve one another. We want to provide you with the opportunity to use your God-given talents, abilities, and availability to bless, build up, and encourage others in the church.

Below are a few answers to common questions many people have when they're first considering serving in a church.

How Often Do I have To SErve?

We don't want to ask anyone to serve beyond their ability/availability. Certainly, serving does require sacrifice and commitment, but there are also stages of life and situations change. We want all our volunteers to know and feel that we care about them more than the work they do.

How do I volunteer with kids And Students?

Every person who serves with our kids or students has to go through a background check and meet with that group's ministry leader to ensure that we are providing a safe place for our kids and students as well as providing godly influences for them.

How Do I get Started?

Faith Harvest Helpers began over 20 years ago as a group of volunteers on an outreach to a Youth With A Mission (YWAM) campus in California learning to process dried fruit that would be distributed worldwide. The passion and vision grew as members were inspired to assist others through gleaning the surplus food in our area and sharing with those in need. We now operate a food bank out of Lacey, WA and a cannery where we process surplus fish. In 2013 we joined YWAM becoming one of many campuses focused on training people to go out into the world and preach the good news. Our purpose is to demonstrate God’s love by using every opportunity to build relationships.
